abusimbel_11.jpg
Wide view of one of the four statues of Ramses II.

In much smaller size, between the feet of Ramses II appear statues of his sons, daughters and wives. Among others there are statues of Prince Amenhirkhopshef, the Kings mother Muttuya, Princess Bent'anta and, of course, of his favorite wife: Queen Nefertari. Ramses II not only dedicated this small statue, but a complete temple: the Temple of Nefertari, also known as the Temple of Hathor.
