Djer
The second king of the 1st Dynasty of ancient Egypt at Memphis. He was the son of 'Aha and a lesser wife named Hent (or Khenthap). Djer built a palace at Memphis and is reported to have ruled approximately 50 years. He probably fought a military campaign on the Sinai, and his name was also found in an inscription on the Wadi Halfa below the First Cataract. Djer's mortuary complex at Abydos was supposedly named the true grave of the god Osiris after reign. His wife was Queen Herneith.
