Djet/Wadj
The third king of the 1st Dynasty (reign dates unknown), who was included in the historian Manetho's King List. Wadj's limestone stela, inscribed with a Serekh, is preserved in the Louvre. The stela was discovered at Abydos, where Wadj built his mortuary complex. An inscription bearing his name was also discovered near Edfu. His wife was probably queen Mereneith, who served as regent for his heir, Den.
